Tanzania elephant’s population trends

1960s the elephant population was
250,000 to 300,000,

1980s elephant population decreased to
55,000,
–
In 2002 the number increased to 130,000,
–
In 2006 the number increased to 141,000
and,
–
In 2009 the number decreased to 109,000.
