Tanzania elephant’s population trends
        1960s the elephant population was 250,000 to 300,000,
        1980s elephant population decreased to 55,000,
        In 2002 the number increased to 130,000,
        In 2006 the number increased to 141,000 and,
        In 2009 the number decreased to 109,000.
